The metal ring is reusable.
No, open the large front swing, by untightening the three around the door and the three screws around the detergent drawer, then you can change the sealing.
Have attention that the outer lip is over the neck of the container sud, and you have to fit the metal ring over the rubber into the sealings nut, all must fit correctly. Work proper and slowly.
