Hello! Sorry, I'm not very good with german so I hope it's ok that i stick with english :)

Anyway I have a Philips 28PT4521/13 (2 scart connectors) that I bought second hand a couple of weeks ago. I use it mainly for playing with my Nintendo Gamecube. The weird thing is... there is no picture when I use my RGB-cable. The cable works perfectly with both my Panasonic TV (about 5 yrs old) and a really old (8-10 years perhaps) Supertech TV.

I'm not very good with TV's but I thought all half new TV's would support RGB through scart. I don't know how old this TV is though, maybe you could help me with that too . Maybe the RGB-terminal (or whatever it's called) is broken? Or this TV shouldnt support RGB at all? In that case, can I go to a TV guy and he can put an RGB terminal in it? How expensive would that be (roughly?)

the AV button switches through three "modes": EXT1, EXT2 and EXT2 Y/C. When RGB cable is in EXT1 I get only sound (i get a picture for about 1/10th of a second), In EXT2 I get a _really_ bright composite-looking picture (useless) and when using EXT2 Y/C i get the same bright picture but much dizzier. With my normal composite scart cable I get a fine picture in both of the TV's scart connectors, but i dont want composite :(

Dear Mark,
this TV must support RGB on EXT1.
But conform the SCART Standard there must be a switching voltage on pin 16 of the scart connector. (About 2,5V)
So pls. check if you use a full scart cable.

Maybe you can check it with a DVD player because every DVD player has RGB output.
Maybe the gamecube does not support the RGB Status on pin 16?
