Last night I finally was able to make the "rubber tongue" test! It's the 3rd day on this week I only sleep 4 hours and I'm about to collapse, but here are the results  :
I took off the piece of plastic, from my "newer" 2x4, that is on top of the head drum. I cut a little piece of rubber I had at home with a similar shape to the one broken the day before... removed the remains of the same piece on the drum of the "older" machine (some leftovers went inside the head drum when removing it :77:, that was unavoidable since the little plastic that was left in its hole almost disintegrated when trying to remove it!). Put the piece on its place and "sandwiched" the new "tongue" to the border of the drum... Pressed play... And at the 1st play the mechanism made its full route, the drum rotating and it went continuosly, without any stop nor F, until I stopped it. That 1st time was without a tape. 2nd one was with one... same behaviour, the mechanism was working good, wonderful sound, everything smooth, no tape jams... Defekt : Schutzschaltung schlägt an? Hersteller : Pionneer Gerätetyp : SA-800 Chassis : Holzgehäuse ca 30Jahre alter Klassiker Messgeräte : Multimeter ______________________ Hallo an alle erfahrene Eletrkoniker, ich habe hier einen schönen alten Pioneer SA-800, würde den gerne wieder zum singen überreden, aber das ist im momment etwas verwirrend. Zur Problematik: Das habe ich bereits getan: 1. Sicherung der Netzeinspeisung ersetzt 1A/T/250V (6,3mm*32mm) ^-nun geht auch die "Pilot" Lampe wieder an. 2. Relais durchgemessen (OMRON MY2 ~650Ohm Spule / 24V-DC) ^-ist scheinbar i.O., denn ich Messe hier 658Ohm, was durchaus im Rahmen des tollerierbaren liegt 
3. Lastwiederstände R40 bis R43 der "Main Amp Unit - W23-009" ^- hier Messe ich nun an 3 stück "0,8 Ohm" einer ist "endlos" < nicht Messbar. Nunja, 0,8 Ohm würden ja in anbetracht des alters ja auch noch Irgendwie plausiebel sein hier treten allerdings verwirrende Angaben auf: ^-auf dem Wiederstand steht: "2W0.5OhmK" < wobei das "Ohm&q... | |||

| Das erste Bild deutet auf einen gebrochenen Spannhebel in der ITB Unit (Image Transfer Belt) hin, bekannter Fehler bei dieser Modellreihe. Beim zweiten Bild ist wahrscheinlich die schwarze Entwicklereinheit im Eimer.
In beiden Fällen wirst Du nicht um den Einsatz eines geschulten Technikers herumkommen, kein ganz billiges Vergnügen, 400 - 500 Euro sind schnell weg 
Überleg Dir, ob Dir das die Sache wert ist, die IR 3100 CN ist nicht grade der grösste Wurf von Canon

My trusty Sony GDM-W900 (24-inch CRT) is dying... The symptoms: am unstable image flickering all over the place in horizontal lines and bands (happens at all resolutions, so not a signal quality issue -- also tried different cables and different computers). Also there are red flashes in the top area of the image. Sometimes the whole picture flashes to red and then comes back to normal for a few seconds, then the flickering starts again. It started with the irregular flicker, then more regular flicker with red flashes, and now almost unusable so I turned it off. The problem seems to get a little better when the unit is colder (working at night  )
Any advice from experts here appreciated. Schematics, parts to change ? It looks like it is not a big deal for an expert... I would be sad to throw this beautiful monitor in... | |||

habe mal selber vor einiger zeit nach tipps für diesen moni gesucht. ich kopier sie mal hinein: QUESTION NO. P414-7: HP A4033A monitor. The high voltage comes up when power is applied, but immediately after the monitor enters power saving mode. The power save light and power light blinks while the CENT light remains solid. No other LED's are on. The component failures suggested in the answer for question P210-1 has been checked and found OK. This may be a failure in the horiz. deflection circuit, which is a separate circuit from the HV circuit. If you have already checked those parts indicated in P210-1, and also all the "PS" type fuses everywhere, then check the horizontal yoke transistor Q512, and the associated caps, rectifiers, etc. in the deflection circuit, and the FET circuitry regulating B+ and pin correction for the deflection circuit. Also check ALL the electrolytic caps in the power supply, these chassis often turn out to have very many bad/marginal caps; for sure, check C611, C612. QUESTION NO. P44-6: Silicon Graphics (Sony) GDM-20D11 monitor goes into standby mode immediately on switch -on. Can hear HT come on, so HOT is good. Power supply OK.
