Regarding my previous problem with a Sagem terrestrial-box:
I have to re-program the EEprom and have found a
8 pin IC on the motherboard: 24C64N
Problem:
It is a SMD-type!
My programmer is for "normal" sized IC.
Desolder it and solder small leads to every pin
and then fit into the programmer??
Or....?
I have to desolder the chip from my working IDT4410.
Then read it and resolder it back in place.
What if I accidently break off a pin or in some way manage to make it unfunctional?
Is it not possible to find the correct data to input somewhere here at electronicwerkstatt??
Is it possible to read via the RS232 port at the rearside of the box?? (What is the port for anyway?)..???

What is the RS232 connector at the back good for??
And can i find software to input to the EEprom here on internet??

the rs 232 connector on the rearside is to load the software in a box without errors
the soft in the net i don´t know
