Hello I'm from spain,

In spain have a problem sagem idt 4430 and it is that receiver is provided for a company to it that now this ruined.

This company it has closed the port 232 and pcmcia

I need to change firmware to the decoder so that they work pcmcia and port 232, since I do it?

I have read in spanish forums that firmware of sagem 4110 serves to the 4430 but I have looked information and I have not found anything, where I can find information about this decoder

Regarding my previous problem with a Sagem terrestrial-box:

I have to re-program the EEprom and have found a
8 pin IC on the motherboard: 24C64N

Problem:
It is a SMD-type!
My programmer is for normal sized IC.

Desolder it and solder small leads to every pin
and then fit into the programmer??
Or....?

I have to desolder the chip from my working IDT4410.
Then read it and resolder it back in place.
What if I accidently break off a pin or in some way manage to make it unfunctional?
Is it not possible to find the correct data to input somewhere here at electronicwerkstatt??

Is it possible to read via the RS232 port at the rearside of the box?? (What is the port for anyway?)..???

Hallo!
Problems with a Sagem IDT 4410 digital cablebox.
At power-on it´s flashing init in the LCD.
Nothing else happens! No picture!

What could be the problem?

If I have to remove and re-programme any EPROM´s, where
do I find the correct files?
